National Beta Elementary Convention

The National Elementary Beta Convention took place in Savannah, GA from June 14-16. Eight students from Gretna Elementary School, who had excelled at the state convention, competed nationally in various events. Among them, two students achieved national recognition: Reagan Parsons earned 3rd place for her Recyclable Arts project, and McKenzie Jones secured 9th place for her Sculpture. Additionally, the school’s campaign skit placed 10th. All the students represented their club and school admirably and had a wonderful time.

Jasmine Lovelace-Gregory, a teacher at Gretna Elementary School was awarded, the 2023-2024 National Beta Sponsor of the Year in Savannah, GA at the National Convention. The National Office recognizes and awards one sponsor each year at the National Convention, who exemplifies selfless service and leadership. She is the first sponsor in the state of Virginia to ever receive this award.
